Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
A second piece of cake suddenly appears infront of Ayn and Am keeps eating.
Alinos raises an eyebrow. "That isn't like him." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"....." She glances up at Am. "Thanks..." She sets it down on the coffee table and sits up.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Alinos tilts his head. "Your parents were alive for a while, yet you never had a birthday party?" He found it odd that Ayn was never involved in such a common tradition, so he couldn't help but ask.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn shakes her head. "My mom thought they were a waste of time and energy." She takes a bite of the cake, chewing it slowly and absorbing this new flavor.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hm that sounds odd, but I suppose I shouldn't judge. I'm not a parent." Alinos stretches his wing and grabs a bottle of vodka.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"My parents were odd people. I don't remember much of my father... Except for his short temper and bizarre strength."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I see the family resemblence. I would of liked to meet him, but I suppose that won't be happening. No reason to dwell on such things I suppose." Alinos takes a seat on one of the couches and yawns.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn sets down the cake, half-eaten. "It's.. a bit too sweet for my tastes.." She sighs and leans back on the couch.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
The cake disappears and Am hums to himself. "I wonder what he wanted..."
Alinos raises an eyebrow. "You mean you don't know?" Am shrugs. "I don't know everything about everyone." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She snorts. "Probably blood. Or a piece of your cake. Maybe both."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"If he tried to take my cake I'd do more than just teleport him somewhere else."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She looks at Am curiously. "Do gods have to eat at all, or do you eat cake for the taste?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Taste. Food in this realm has no value to us."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I have a hard time imagining eating for the sole fact because it tastes good, and not because it's necessary.. Then again I am not a god..."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Eh. Well, we might control mortals but being gods some of the stuff you do is scene as..well bellow us to a degree. However, sometimes doing said things is still amusing. So if we're in mortal form we tend to practice such things. Or some of us do. The stiffer ones don't do all of them."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I see.. I imagine one would run out of things to do after having lived so long.."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Well not really. You see, I'm really the only one of us that comes down here like this. The rest like to seem all important and only do so to show their wrath or whatever else they come down for. Most of the time we'd like to do foolish things, like do cartwheels or something. But some of us are just egotists. We have to get along though, we don't like to make Him whip us into shape.."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn falls silent, pondering this. The thought of these gods being too conceited to even spend time with their creations bothers her.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"We're not ALL concieted. Just some of us. For the most part it even's out, since all the "gods" are equal except one."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She arches an eyebrow at Am. "Do you read minds purposely or does it happen by accident?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I'm not all-knowing, but I can read minds in certain circumstances. It's like overhearing someone speak, so I in turn speak if I feel the need to."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She smiles slightly. "I don't mean to sound rude, but it's kind of hard to think in private knowing that you're listening."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Well I can not comment, but it's hard not to hear." Am hums to himself and turns away.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"How wide is your range of hearing? Or can you hear the thoughts of anyone you please at any time, anywhere?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"It's to complicated to fully explain. But I can hear all things some of the time, or some things all of the time, just not everything all of the time....I don't make any sense huh?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"To a mortal it doesn't make much sense.. I suppose it makes all the sense in the world to you, however."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am shrugs. "We only know what we must, never all that there is to know."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*Explodes from a hidden doorway with a deliciously dissonant jazz riff*
Mortals rejoice! Your moogle is here! *And there was much rejoicing* Oh, and Gale... you can, err... scoff in my general vicinity. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn arches an eyebrow, and grabs Kadino by his little red ball antennae thingy and holds him up to her eye level. "Must you always enter so loudly?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Yes, but I fear that the shock of your seeing a moogle where once there was naught could kill a horse. Or at least yourself.
Plus it provides an accurate and fantastic portrayal of my current mood, which I know you want to know. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She stares blankly at Kadino, then drops him, baffled.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am lets out a laugh. "Moogles never cease to amuse me.."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Ayn's eyes wander to the bar. The somewhat bitter taste of cake lingered in her mouth, but she hadn't noticed it until now, a time when her thoughts remained unoccupied. She quietly slips through the small space between the counter of the bar and the adjacent wall, and opens the food cupboard. Her nose wrinkles slightly as all that remained was what looked like a loaf of stale bread. She shrugs to herself and takes the loaf, occupying her seat at the couch again, munching and humming to herself.

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
A parachute falls screaming through the roof and slams into the floor, where it pops open. A moment or so later, Toryu wanders down from the upstairs, brushing splinter off his rather tattered clothes
You probably don't know quite how much that hurt >_o Evenin' all. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am looks at Toryu for a moment but then just shakes his head. "Eh, if I wasn't crazy I'd accuse the rest of you of being the same."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She jumps at the sudden sound, then whirls around. "What the hell was that?" She sees Toryu covered in dust and soot. "Oh.. I should have known."

Ahem, could you deign to let me rest now? As much as your spinning around makes me dizzy-excited in the way only a moogle can get, but I think I'm almost to the point of seeing straight after being hit on the head so many times... I mean seriously! It's like when a little kid sees a nice party baloon that floats around minding it's own, having a riotous time of just being a baloon about it all... but, NO! The kid can't let that baloon be, he has to grab it and whack it until it pops. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
A smirk crosses Ayn's lips. "As you wish, moogle." She raises the moogle as high as her arms would take him, then lets him fall to the floor with a thud.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
*Consequently, the thud was not the sound of said moogle hitting the floor, but from the trapdoor therein flying open with some force*
Whee! A new room! I wonder what's inside! Maybe I should run around and see! *Thud* Gee... shame it's dark, else I could see what the wall that I just ran into looked like! |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Am lets out a short laugh, amused by Ayn and Kadino. "Tis a pity-" Am goes silent and whistles to himself as he finished his cake. It almost seemed like he was trying to be obnoxious with the fact that he "knew" the future, if he even knew that much.
